How to Delete Your Data in Pop the Hood
If you'd like to delete all of your data from Pop the Hood, you can do so directly from the app. This removes everything from your device and from our servers.
What gets deleted:
- All vehicles and maintenance records
- Inventory and borrowed item history
- To-do list and shopping list
- Cloud backups (if you signed in and synced)
- Your email subscription (if you subscribed to updates)
Steps:
- Open Pop the Hood on your device.
- Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the Dashboard to open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page.
- Tap "Delete All My Data" (red button).
- A confirmation dialog will appear. Tap "Delete Everything."
- A second confirmation will appear. Tap "Yes, Delete All."
- Your data will be permanently deleted from your device and our servers.
- The app will restart from the beginning as if it were freshly installed.
Important notes:
- This action cannot be undone. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
- If you have an active Pro subscription, deleting your data does not cancel your subscription. To cancel your subscription, go to your device's subscription settings (App Store on iPhone, Play Store on Android).
- You do not need to be signed in to delete your local data. If you were previously signed in and synced, cloud data will also be removed.
